The Zako Tenkara Fly Fishing Rod is the “work horse” of our tenkara fly rod line-up. It’s the perfect all-around tenkara fly rod and handles a broad range of fly fishing situations – from small brook trout to large, fat, brown trout. At only 19” long you never have to leave home without this telescoping fly rod. The Zako Tenkara Fly Rod is 12ft long when extended and has a 6:4, medium-fast action flex. The Zako is comparable to a regular 5wt fly fishing rod. No reel makes for a quick and streamlined set-up. Spend more time on the water and less time setting up and breaking down your fly rod. Includes spare tip, fly rod sock and carbon fiber travel case. Pair with the Performance Tip for a faster action (sold separately).
