The Beulah Elixir V2 is a compact Scandinavian style shooting head. Designed for Spey casting surface, and light sinking poly tips on switch and Spey rods.
When fishing tight quarters or open gravel bars Elixir’s are a joy to cast from your first six foot line dump at the top of a run to 80′+ lasers when distance is necessary! Beulah Elixir will handle your dry line, light, and moderate sink tip needs for all spring, summer and early fall Spey excursions.
The power of the Elixir line is generated by the concentration of weight in the rear third of the taper (closest to running line). The front two thirds rapidly taper down to a fine front taper, dissipating the initial surge of energy into a tight loop with excellent control. The Elixir is designed with a large enough tip diameter to turn over poly leaders and modest size flies with ease. The Elixir Switch will handle poly leader tips 10′-11′ ( up to 90 grains max). For Spey Elixir use poly leader tips 12-14’, (up to 120 grains).With Scandinavian heads like the Beulah Elixir, a leader formula of 1.5 x rod length, including poly leader and tippet, will make a well balanced system.

An alternative is line clips of various kinds and you have probably seen more than one model before but this is a little different as it adjusts to how much or how thick the fly line is in the clip, this means that you do not need to screw it on to make it pinch with the right force.The fact that it adjusts itself also means that you avoid the jerks that can occur when you shoot the line.

As the premier reel in the Galvan range, the Torque Series reels represent the culmination of a lifetime of fly-fishing and passion for reel design. The Torque reel series was created because Boni wanted to create a revolutionary reel with a more substantial drag system than was presently available on the market. And it had to be sexy. Thus the Torque series reels were born.
The unique Torque reel, the fourth series created by Boni, was the first reel released with our Torque drag system, which is now employed in all of our reels. Its inception was in late 2002 with prototypes coming to life in 2003. After being tested, retested and modified, it was finally released to the public in 2004. The visually striking appearance of the Torque reels is a result of the unique cut-outs on the frame, spool, drag knob and reel foot. At first glance, the hand is drawn to the reel and from the first crank of the contoured counter balanced spool, the reel’s quality is apparent.
