“The Jungle Junkie started as a Pike/Muskie fly. I tied it to represent a perch which is a major food source for them.
This fly has made its’ rounds to Rio Negro for Peacock Bass, with outstanding results.
It’s a flashtail streamer with bucktail and magnum flashabou, laser dub head to look bulky without really having the bulk which makes it easy to cast.”
“The Jungle Junkie Jr came about during the pre-trip tying phase in preparation for an expedition in Brazil with Nomadic Waters.
I wanted a scaled down version that I could pair with the original Jungle Junkie in case the fish wanted a smaller offering.
Pat Dorsey and I thoroughly tested the Jr and it proved to be an absolute killer!
It has also proven itself on super-sized Texas largemouth.”
