It consists of a single tenkara line removable spool with built-in fly compartments on each side, so has double the capacity. The fly keeper compartments have secure snap lids that close tight. The soft rubber base piece simply slides onto your rod, won’t scratch the finish and stays put. The spool fits ontop of the base snuggly. Preload your spools with different length lines, then simply switch them out as needed. Add a handful of assorted flies and you are ready to go. The 2wt is our shortest model that is a sweet Scandi caster yet is more than capable of launching heavier Skagit heads and sinking tips. This this is a perfect small-river rod, or a bigger river stick when skating caddis, or presenting soft hackles. We like a 210 grain Skagit or a 180 grain Scandi. Add 8-10’ sinking or poly leaders that ring in the 80-grain range.MICROSPEY AIR 2 — 11’ 3WT.
