Umpqua Fly Puff Caddis Conti
SKU: NFD9829
Sizes: 14,16 and 18
Colours: Tan and Black
“The Puff Caddis was born trying to imitate a caddis in the emerging stage, simple but effective, it works well whether dry, Or as an emerger.
To be used in medium speed waters, it has a wing made of CDC, a hare body and with the partridge mounted on the head which creates that semblance of movement in the water which makes it attractive for our trout friends.”

Umpqua Fly Reservoir Dog Eakins Mr Brown
SKU: NFD9908
Size: 4
“The Reservoir Dog came about due to my desire to fish an articulated fly that would fish on smaller rods, starting with a 5wt and moving up.
The pattern was initially beta tested on Colorado Reservoirs loaded with cutbows and pike and eventually moved to some time in our Front Range rivers.
This is a great bob-n-weave streamer in stillwater and a wonderful streamer to swing in a river.
After a few months the design took a few drastic turns, eliminating one hook, maintaining the articulation with a 15mm shank, and building a little more mass on the head with a Foxy brush; which is why and how we get the movement and action from this gem.
Mr. Black, Mr. Brown. Mr. Green, and Mr. White, meet the Reservoir Dogs!”

Umpqua Fly Ribbit Rhol Lohr Frog 1
SKU: NFD9830
“I developed the Ribbit Rhol as a finesse frog.
A frog to be used in low clear streams where a stealthy approach and long casts were needed to trick weary smallmouth.
Since then it has proved itself on multiple bass species in varying water conditions as well as larger predatory trout. It has become an ultimate topwater tool.
Watching a smallmouth casually make its way to the surface and sip in a frog the way a trout does is quite a sight.
For that to happen the fish has to have confidence in what it’s eating. The Ribbit Rhol delivers that confidence.”

Umpqua Fly Rock Steady Stone Tan/Brown
SKU: NFD9831
Size 6 and 8
“The Rocksteady Stone was born out of necessity and developed over years of trial and error on the technical waters of the Truckee and Little Truckee Rivers.
With the use of large tungsten beads and lead wire wrapped along 2/3rds of the body, this stonefly imitation carries enough weight to punch through the turbulent pocket waters of the Truckee River during peak spring and summer flows.
It gets in the zone fast and looks good while doing so.
Being tied upside down gives it the appearance of a dying stonefly suspended helplessly in the drift.
The epoxy used adds incredible durability and is meant to be run through the ringer during a day of picking pockets.
Lastly, the hare’s ear thorax and rubber legs add the movement lacking on most euro nymphs found today.
You better be ready… Rocksteady!”

Umpqua Fly Scud Bomb Mylant
SKU: NFD9832
Size: 12 and 14
Colours: Rainbow and Olive
“A scud pattern with a bead in the middle isn’t anything new. However, when you alter the bead to a jig bomb it immediately changes the performance of the fly.
Using a technique I call “posting the bead” which secures the bead to the top of the hook shank. This ensures the fly will always ride hook point up allowing you to drift it right over rocks and logs.
Jig bombs are also heavier than countersunk or slotted beads, so they provide a faster sink rate.
This fly was specifically designed to act as the primary source of weight on a nymph rig and excels as an anchor fly on a tight line/euro system or a lead fly/attractor on a traditional indicator rig while maintaining the classic curved scud profile.
You won’t find a fly with this much weight that looks more scud-like.
It has been my go-to scud pattern for small streams, larger rivers, man-made reservoirs, and high alpine lakes.
If you aren’t a fan of using split shot this is a fly you’ve got to try.”

Umpqua Fly Sexy Walts
SKU: NFD9885
Size 12 in Oliver or Hare’s Ear with 3,5mm bead
These flies just work – don’t let their simplicity fool you. The Sexy Walts brings a little flash to a classic hairs ear variation.
This fly works as a great imitation of a variety of flies like a crane fly, march brown, caddis, stonefly, or sow bug.
But really it is just a great attractor pattern that fish can find and grab onto. Tied with a tungsten bead to help get down and dirty this is a go to fly for anglers around the country.

Umpqua Fly Skwala Stone Tungsten
SKU: NFD9886
Skwala hatches are hot these days. Many western shops and guides are filling their earliest river trips of the year for this moderate sized, and previously ignored, stonefly. During occasionally inclement weather around March, these bugs interest the largest trout and cause fishermen to don winter capilene and fleece for the first big feeding binge of the season. Dry flies in the snow! Not many fly designers have the hands for stone nymphs quite like Mike Mercer, so this bug was a no–brainer. – Just the right size (17 — 23 mm) – Just the right color, with the luster of Buggy Nymph blends. – Sili–Legs for motion, motion – Tungsten for the weight. Many fishermen are meeting this hatch on guided trips so Mike gave you a heavier fly, a guide fly.
